An independent revival project

The classic Google Finance is coming back.

Google retired the classic view on July 23, 2026, and replaced it with an AI-first redesign. Folivue rebuilds the experience you actually used: dense quote pages, fast charts, watchlists, no AI. Launching next week.

Not mockups — work in progress

See it for yourself. It's really back.

These are real screenshots from the Folivue build. Honestly: we are about 40% of the way there — some spacing, charts and features still need work before they match the real design — so give us one more week. Live market data underneath, no AI layer on top, and the rest of the classic view landing piece by piece.

Crypto too: the same classic quote page, 1D to Max

For twenty years, checking a stock meant one thing: type the ticker, see the price, scan the chart, read the stats table, done. Then the redesign came. First as a test in August 2025, then worldwide in April 2026, and on July 23, 2026, the link that said Switch to classic Google Finance disappeared for good.

The reaction was loud. Petitions asking Google to restore the classic version. Forum threads titled go back to old version. Reddit reviews calling the new app useless. None of it brought the old page back, so we are bringing it back ourselves.

What Folivue restores

Folivue is a faithful rebuild of the classic experience, with live market data underneath.

  • The classic quote page: price, change, chart, and stats above the fold
  • The two-column stats grid: open, high, low, mkt cap, P/E, div yield
  • Fast line charts with 1D to Max ranges that switch instantly
  • Watchlists in a plain, scannable table, with portfolios on the roadmap
  • Zero AI: no summaries, no chat box, nothing between you and the numbers

Why we built it

Google is not going to reverse the redesign. Its retired designs stay retired, from Reader to Inbox. The classic Finance experience survives only if someone rebuilds it, carefully, as its own product. That is what Folivue is: an independent project, built from scratch, that treats the old design as a spec rather than a memory.

Launching next week

The rebuild is in final testing. Leave your email and you will get exactly one message when it opens, with early access to the waitlist. If you have been refreshing google.com/finance hoping the toggle comes back, this is the faster path.
